Everything was explained clearly including upfront pricing information and what would have to be done to ensure that the rebates and applications were completed properly.

He replies to correspondence very quickly. During the first energy audit he provided me with plenty of helpful information which can translate to savings on heating and cooling costs. I look forward to seeing him again for the final audit. Lastly, I am very pleased working with Susan Le from the "Group's" office. She is friendly, helpful and willing to do whatever she can to provide excellent customer care. It is noteworthy that I called the office repeatedly and each time I've had her assist me. There's a lot to say about consistency! Without reservation I recommend this business.

Thank you for your reply. I wanted to add that I tried to book a 2nd audit appointment before expiration but did not get any response. I was later advised that the auditor had left the company. I do appreciate your invitation to come back amd try again but respectfully will be going somewhere else because I think paying almost $500 for a 1-hour appointment was too excessive and want to find some better value elsewhere. Thank you.

I started an energy audit with the home inspectors group. On the first visit, I was charged and paid almost $500 for a 60-minute appointment to run a blower test and check the dates on the windows. They had no other tools in hand, such as thermal cameras, which are used by some other companies to better visualize where there may be insufficient insulation.

They never returned for the second visit to complete the two parts of the audit which would have been at an additional cost It was later explained to me that the inspector is no longer with the company, that my file is closed, and that there is nothing they can do after the fact to finish the existing audit or starting a new audit without paying the cost upfront to start all over again from the beginning.

They also declined a friendly request to provide a nominal discount on a new audit to recognize that I had already paid for a previous audit that they did not finished. I understand there is no requirement for providing even a small discount, but given that I had already paid, I think it would have been a nice gesture to help make things right.

They have said that I need to start over and pay again, so I will do that with another company that will not rush through their inspection time and come better prepared with other tools to do a more thorough inspection.

We completed my second home inspection, I was told rebate takes a while, upto 4 months. At 4.5 months I requested via email the status of my refund, 2 weeks later I received an email apologizing for late reply, he was on vacation, so customer service was ignored.
In his reply he now tells me it takes up to 6 months for rebate.
He also mentions for further updates to contact Home inspectors Group.
I call them to be told that the wait time is now 7.5 months.
The lady on the phone had zero interest in assisting me, her only concern was to end my call and pass me off to Enbridge Gas for assistance. I then called Enbridge Gas customer service, who then brought to my attention that The Home Inspectors group has the same access to the same files as they do to answer my questions, but home inspectors group customer service couldn't be bothered to other any assistance, they didn't care, they already had my money.
