Terrible Service – Unresponsive and Unprofessional!

I’ve been renting from Del rental company, and it has been a nightmare! Both my washing machine and dishwasher stopped working due to mold and electronic board failure, and despite multiple follow-ups over two weeks, nothing has been fixed. The repair company says it could take 1 to 4 more weeks just to get the parts—completely unacceptable!

Instead of replacing the appliances with new ones, they keep delaying, giving slow responses, and pushing the issue further. Their customer service is completely unhelpful and unresponsive. I feel bad for landlords who have no idea how poorly this company manages their properties.

Avoid this company at all costs!

The most unprofessional and disrespectful staff! They gave me appointment and I arrived on time. No one there and I wait and waited. I called the person multiple times no answer. I called to the office multiple items no answer. Then, the person who as supposed to meet me was right there and chatting with others and not answering my calls and my texts! Shamelessly she talked to me like nothing happened. then she said, she had to take mettlesome for showing as they have booked multiple people for the same time. I have never seen such unprofessional people, careless, shameless and rude people for long time!
I went to meet them at 10 Inn on the park.

I've had an incredibly frustrating experience with Del Rentals. Upon moving into a condo they manage, my first shock came when they raised the rent by $250 per month over the initial listing price, claiming they had "forgotten" their own management fees. Just five days after moving in, a major fire and exposure incident occurred in our building. While Del Rentals was prompt to check if the condo had sustained damage, they showed zero concern for the tenants who were left without power and shelter for three days.

The lack of urgency and care didn't stop there. It took over a month and relentless follow-ups to address a serious issue with a washing machine that was leaking water from the walls. Additionally, my reports about malfunctioning electrical plugs were repeatedly dismissed as "normal" and marked complete without any proper inspection or resolution.

Now, we've been without power for nine days due to the fire, and despite numerous attempts, Del Rentals has not responded. Their communication is non-existent; we can't even contact the condo owner for help. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise any tenants or property owners looking for a management company to steer clear of Del Rentals. Their disregard for tenant safety and property care is appalling.

Had a great experience with Laurie Cellupica renting out a unit at 633 Bay Street. She was responsive to questions and calls, conducted herself professionally, and I had no issues or delays with getting rental documentation drafted and signed.

The concierge team is very kind and helpful, particularly Romeo, and Susan, the building management rep, is very kind and approachable.

I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the washing machine in the unit is broken, and partially flooded the unit when we used it. The maintenance team was very quick to send a water vacuum to handle the issue, and a maintenance ticket has been submitted, but I wish I had been made aware that the machine was not in a state of good repair prior to our moving in.

The mismanagement of my property at 10 Eva Rd by this company has been a complete nightmare. They failed to inform me about critical issues, including unpaid rent, unresolved hydro and water bills, and an open wall in my unit due to a water leak. Their lack of communication, unprofessionalism, and incompetence have caused me significant financial and emotional distress. My property is now at risk of a lien because of their negligence.

I requested the supervisor’s contact information multiple times, only receiving it on my fourth request. To this day, no one has informed me about an outstanding balance of over $2,100 for hydro and water, which my current tenant is responsible for. Provident was the one who notified me about the growing balance, and they were explicitly told not to inform me until I took over the unit. They removed the eviction process even though there was this significant unpaid balance. I will be pursuing legal action against this rental company.

Additionally, no one notified me about the damp wall in the kitchen that’s been there for six months. I discovered a major leak during my own inspection when I took over the unit. This has been an absolute disaster. No report, no email, nothing about this.

Stay far away from this rental company—they don’t respond in a timely manner and clearly have no idea what they’re doing.

FOLLOW UP.FOR THEIR RESPONSE:
Stay away. Del Rental is an absolute disaster. They failed to notify me about hydro arrears, leaving me completely in the dark and now at risk of losing my condo due to a looming lien. Not one extra cent had been collected, and this issue could have been entirely avoided if they had initiated the eviction process sooner and properly alerted me to such a huge problem. To make matters worse, they specifically instructed Provident Energy Management NOT TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME. Can you believe this?

On top of that, the leak they claimed was my responsibility—and for which they attempted to charge me—turned out to be a builder’s issue. Although they eventually fixed it, I have yet to receive any detailed report explaining what happened or how it was resolved. The lack of transparency and proactive communication throughout this entire ordeal makes Del Rental a company you should steer clear of.

MARCH 18th,2025
Del Rental has yet to resolve the issue, and the tenant has not paid the hydro bill. The threat of a lien against my property is now imminent. Their failure to take action is unacceptable, and I will be filing a formal complaint with Consumer Protection.

Stay away from them. Until signing a lease, everyone was around, friendly, and responsive. But from the moment we signed a lease, despite many many phone calls and email and text messages, we've been stonewalled. It's been over a month now and despite calling them almost every other day and sending emails, no one has been responsive! Everyone is passing us to the next person and we have been chasing our tails with them. Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional.

Unfortunately, the experience with Del Rentals was super unpleasant and unprofessional after 1 week back and forth communicating to setup showing date and time and confirmation the Realestate representative never showed up or even bother answering the phone or replying to txt msg. We came all the way to see a property at 575 bloor which they made us waiting for more than an hour in lobby without showing up.
Still after 2 weeks of contacting them via phone and email no explanation for the way they treated us.
Don’t recommend them to any client.
