By far the worst rental experience I have ever had.

Since moving in my unit has had numerous major maintenance issues making the apartment basically unlivable, and trying to get District to address them has been a nightmare. As other reviewers have mentioned, the woman you need to contact for such issues will routinely send your calls to voicemail and never return them, and not answer your emails. I only received a response to my urgent maintenance requests after two weeks of waiting when I threatened to call bylaw.

I have been here for two months now and am still having to fight daily to try and get the unit fixed. I even asked District to just let me out of my lease, which they refused.

Additionally, the units themselves are just cheap and poorly constructed. My blinds fell off the wall, towel rack fell off the wall, bathroom sink faucet wasn't attached at all, the panels around the kitchen counter bases aren't attached and just fall over, bedroom barn door guide came off and the door isn't aligned with the slot carved in the baseboard so it just bangs against the wall, balcony door is stuck closed, and so is the mechanism to open and close the bedroom window. The sound proofing is also surprisingly bad, so be prepared to hear the elevators and people in the hallway all day and night.

The various contractors who have been to my unit to assess the bigger issues told me they have been working non stop on similar issues in other units in the building, and said I'm just lucky I didn't buy it.

Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews, as at least some of them are written by the property management staff. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

My buddy lives in this apartment, and I came to look at it a few months ago. All the amenities seemed to be down, and apparently it’s been out of service for months. The people showing around seemed alright, but the one particular girl was quite rude and so I’ve heard it’s a well known thing in the building that she’s rude. I can’t justify paying $2100 when nothing in the damn building works. District realty is a scam of a company anyway, I’ve lived in other places that were managed by them, so it’s no surprise.

Worst experience even before moving in the apartment. First of all, the people working there don’t communicate with each other and keep providing different information. They never pick up calls and then dismissive responses (agreed to the previous review). We were told my Emma that we can order deliveries and they can receive it, put it in our unit however after following up 4-5 times and finalling someone receiving my call , she (wemilo) says well sorry that Emma told you this but unfortunately we can’t receive deliveries and Emma doesn’t work here anymore LOL. Like common be in sync Atleast. Now we have ordered our deliveries and they won’t receive it. Worse experience and staff.
