When I first moved in I had lots of cockroaches in my unit, and it was crazy scary to move in like that. had to wait a week or two for someone to come in and poison them, and even after that we had some.

Also, the unit was not in the best shape,some of the places were dirty and sticky, and its just disgusting. Called in and informed about that, was told that somebody would come, but no one did obviously.

Had a dead pigeon above us, stuck in someone elses balcony. Not people who lived there, not the concierge did anything, so I had to ask. When I did, I could see on the concierge face that he couldn't care less than he already did.

No conditioners in the unit, only radiators. summer time it was crazy hot and there wasn't much you could do about it. when it comes to winter or autumn, its cold and the radiators are still not on.

Would not recommend it to anyone at any times, find a better place to rent 🙂

I recently attempted to transfer my lease to a highly qualified individual who needed to move in on the exact date I needed to move out, following approval for a new residence. We submitted our request 15 days in advance, mirroring the process followed when we initially moved in. Despite our politeness, the response we received was arrogant and unhelpful. They stated that each process has its own timeline, and by submitting our request today, the earliest transfer date would be October 1st. This response is absurd and frustrating. We invested significant time in finding reliable and committed individuals to take over the lease, only to lose the opportunity to move to a more suitable residence due to the Shipilake team’s lack of cooperation. Everything was set for a smooth transition, but their uncooperative stance has caused us considerable inconvenience.

We have been residents of Shiplake Properties for one year. During this time we have enjoyed not only the unit we live in but its excellent management. The building is kept very clean at all times. There is a very good communication between management and residents. If anything has to be done, and need help from concierge/management we get it done promptly. The employees working at this site are courteous and respectful.

Our experience with Shiplake has been great. They’re attentive and are quick to respond when we have an issue in our unit. Our building is always clean. The management and staff who work here are friendly. Another nice touch is that they host various events like tenant appreciation barbecues, holiday markets (that highlight resident business owners) , the random ice cream truck visits and give a little gift at your door during holiday season. Never experienced any of this in Toronto or elsewhere. All of their properties are accessible as well. My only complaint is that I wish they would take stricter measures to prevent other tenants from disturbing the peace like party goers and dogs that bark all day long. But ultimately that comes down to the tenants. Would highly recommend Shiplake properties!

I’ve lived at The Torontonian for 6 years now and love it. The staff are always so friendly and personable, the management is great, and there so many amazing amenities. If we ever need something fixed it usually gets done the same day. They’ve really stepped it up in the last couple of years with tenant appreciation as well. I can’t speak to the other properties, but this one is definitely well run.

Have to say they did a good job. They were very helpful when dealing with maintenance. Kevin is great. Also, the people at the concierge were nice and friendly, and respond very quickly. We lived at the Lillian park location, which is a GEO thermal heating and cooling system. The living comfort is much better than the regular HVAC system with better humidity. Lots of interesting activities were held.

I have been a tenant for almost 3 years and only had good experiences with shiplake. Their Lillian park buildings and units are modern an comfortable but the highlight goes to how much pet friendly this place is, specially when it comes down to the staff. Shout out to the concierges Marco, Sid and Voyage who always treated my dog with kindness and tons of treats.
