We used Royal York Property Management to get us a tenant for my elderly mothers place in Windsor, Ontario. The agent (Jawad El Deeb) that worked with us lied about the fees the company charges and took advantage of my mothers situation. They took first months rent but also charged us for a Tenant Placement fee (equal to agreed rent rate) which was never mentioned. The agent ensured my mother no other fees would be charged. A week after the tenant moved in, we received the itemized list of the company fees. By then it was too late. They also charged us for another tenant placement fee for a tenant that I initially refused because she had more children than the agent originally mentioned.

I do not recommend working with this company. The company hires agents that are not properly trained and educated on the policies. My disabled elderly mother lost a lot of money due to the agents false information. I tried contacting the company and I was brushed off and hung up on without any compensation. I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone reading this. Rather I advice you to hire a local realtor in your area to find a tenant that charges fewer fees.

I wanted to share my experience dealing with Royal York Property Management for renting out my property,people in maintainence team specially are very unprofessional and unresponsive, they called me for deep cleaning my house prior to renting and I hired professional cleaners to do the job and their leasing team inspected it before leaving the guy and next day they charged me $460 plus taxes without informing me on my account saying that they hired cleaners to do the job without my consent and are not refunding the amount with me having all the proofs of work done by the cleaners.
The team is highly unresponsive with explaining the situation and I’ll never had this bad experience dealing with any property management company.
I wouldn’t recommend to work with them by any means.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We hired Royal York about 4 months ago to manage one of our properties. They placed a family in the home. We were told that 5 people would be living there. We know there is 10+ with electrical cords running everywhere. The tenants have broken everything from the furnace to the plumbing. The property manager does not call us back no matter how much we call. The maintenance department is the only person that will talk with us but can't actually help with any problems.
From my personal experience I would NEVER recommend anyone.
Maybe this review will get their attention to finally call me back... we will see
