My experience renting with Rentcorp at 251 Lester Street has been absolutely terrible.

The unit is in shambles, with ceiling leaks and other maintenance issues (such as no hot water) occurring at least once a term.

There has been an ongoing ceiling leak since December 20, 2024 that has not been fixed. 4 of the photos were taken today and show the dilapidated condition of the unit.

The last 2 photos were taken in February 2024 and show the ceiling damage due to leakage from units above.

When I voice my issues to Rentcorp, they tell me that the repairs are not within their authorization. When I asked Rentcorp for the contact information of my landlords to discuss solutions to the ongoing issues, they do not respond.

Do not ever rent from Rentcorp!

I had a pleasure of working with Zaina and briefly with Tumi, Tessa and Feroza to find tenant for my condo; my experience was nothing but pleasant! Zaina and everyone responded promptly to my multiple emails. They worked diligently to show the unit to prospective tenants until the right one was found. They did all the screening, inspection and the lease which gave me a peace of mind. Everyone I have interacted with at RentCorp has been willing to help and respectful! From my first phone interaction with Lucy who was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful to the signing of the lease agreement, my experience with RentCorp has great! I would highly recommend them. Taking the time to state how great my experience was with RentCorp and their team. Management here is on point and the departments are all very organized. The team work here is highly motivated to help tenants as well as the landlords. Tessa was able to provide me with appropriate quotes for my parent’s property and explain how the client contract works. I also spoke to Tumi the leasing agent who provided a market evaluation. Feroza and Hiral were able to help with the listing and advertisement for finding a perspective tenant. Huge shout out to these lovely ladies! Overall I’m beyond happy with their services and recommend them to any potential landlord.

As a student, I was nervous about finding a good place, but Feroza made everything so easy! She was super helpful and found me an affordable apartment on Lester St. close to campus. The whole process was stress-free, and any maintenance requests I had were handled quickly. Highly recommend for any students looking for housing!

I just want to share my experience with Rent Corp Property Management as we have been using them for around five years now. We are basically hands-off landlords. RentCorp takes care of everything keeping all the maintenance up and year end cleaning for a fair price. Including furniture replacement at our student rental. Because we are extremely busy we occasionally get behind on things and needed some explanation off rental incomes and maintenance, due to a sublet we aloud the previous year. After a few emails back and forth, with super fast responses from Feroza Nazeri, I still was not understanding something and was stressed about it. Feroza gave me a quick call before going home for the day to clear things up and get it off my mind. I really appreciate all the great service from everyone at RentCorp Property Management.

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Tumi, Tessa and Feroza. They were incredibly helpful when it came to finding my student rental. The maintenance department is very efficient when it comes to dealing with issues within the unit. Tessa was very communicative and helped resolve the issue as soon as she could.
Tumi and Feroza have been working hard to help me understand my lease and my first time renting on my own. Thank you all for all you do!

Rent Corp has no sense of care for their tenants. When we first moved in they did not prorate the rent for the days we weren't allowed to access the apartment during the first month. During my two years there my roommate and I had to fight with them and message many times to get things fixed. We were without hot water for over a month in which we had to wear them down to receive some of our money back as they were sending contractors to wrong apartments, not fixing it, etc. Finally, we moved out at the end of august of this year and still have not received our key deposit back. We were originally told upon drop off that we would receive it within two weeks. Every time I call or email I am given the same answer of 'a couple weeks' with this last time being told they have no idea of when it will be ready but that the cheques are being processed. I was told upon my last phone call that the person authorizing the cheques is rarely in the office to actually get them done which is very unprofessional and disorganized. They still refuse to give me an exact day of when we will receive our money back and it has been 2 months since move out.

As someone who rents an apartment through the, I highly recommend them to others. The workers are so helpful and knowledgeable and really made the whole processs of finding a place to live, moving in and living there sooo easy. Feroza, Tessa and Tumi especially were so great and always there when I had a question or needed something.
