Maintenance:

Early mornings Sheila can be found mopping the stairs, vacuuming the mats and brings a reflective shine on the glass doors. She’s never too busy to exchange a friendly word and sending one off with good wishes for a lovely day ahead.

Posting a request for maintenance is easy on their app. I have the greatest respect for the work they done. Rick came to fix the electrical box’s door, went back to the workshop and found a perfect working solution to fix the issue.

Sebastian is so reliable and within a day or two after the request, he came and showed me on how to empty out the water tank of the dryer for best results.
Sebastian also ordered the apartment a new dishwasher, since the water damaged the element of the old one.

Saying all of this, for most part the apartment is equipped with new appliances, the walls painted bright white, the floors newly done and everything maintained exceptionally well.

APARTMENT :

One can’t be too careful with the rental market today, but then I met Shannon Jackson, a seasoned and honest agent who literally walked the many extra miles alongside. She setup virtual tours, with the time zone differences accounted for.

Shannon is lighthearted and smiling, but super serious about the renter’s and company’s best interests served.

[I had some concerns about the property allowing animals (allergies); carrying heavy loads to shared laundry facilities and the general safety of the environment for seniors.]
Sharon assured me that pets are well cared for and not in common areas ; she found me an ensuite laundry unit with new appliances! The area is safe and measured by her loyalty & joyful presence it’s going to be a happy living space for me to move into.

Shannon never left the impression that it’s just a business transaction. The opposite is true — having Shannon as the trustworthy, thoughtful, thorough, accommodating facilitating agent? Lucky you! One can’t find better!!

Maggie Kilts also needs special mentioning. When I had a problem registering, she took the time to give me a call and resolved it within minutes. Kind and helpful advice got me through the process.

My partner and I applied for a 1 bedroom unit and was denied and when asked why we were denied, or if we could rectify the application, Maggie, the building administrator said they can't do anything about it and that it's confidential why we were denied. I asked her what we can do to ensure approval upon her suggestion of re-application, and she wouldn't advise us on more information and criteria they were looking for in future tenants.

I was baffled at the denial of our application as we had a huge amount of savings, have sufficient income, both credit ratings at 620+ and had a guarantor who currently lives at the building who can vouch for us. We even offered first, last and an extra month's rent as well as moving in right away. I really don't know what more we could've provided to make our application better. I've also never in my history been denied an application for an apartment before.

I was very disappointed as I have lived in this building years ago under CLV and have always paid my rent on time and have never had any problems. It is now owned by InterRent. I feel we were discriminated against based on our sexual orientation which is very disheartening in this day and age.
