Had a bit of a mess to sort out, so I called and Rob got me to drop off what I had, and he prepared my returns for me. He was quick, and thorough, and answered all my questions without hesitation. I called in a couple of times with questions and was always met with a polite and professional manner. Will definitely return, and would absolutely recommend.

What a wonderful experience. My son referred me after his taxes were done. My mom passed last year and they were very empathetic and made me aware of what I was eligible to claim regarding my taxes as I was a primary caregiver at my home. The atmosphere is wonderful and the kindness I received was amazing.

I will definitely not be using their services again. I was very surprised at how quickly my taxes were completed and paid more than double of what I usually pay to get them done Somehow, they were done wrong the first time they did them. Then when I reviewed it and questioned how it was done, I went back in to get it corrected, and I actually got charged an additional fee for them to fix their own errors. That's certainly a stand up business practice, especially for a new client.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have been a client for 30 years but have ended my relationship due to incompetence, lack of communication and negligence. My 2022 Notice of Assessment stated I owed CRA money but the owner said “don’t worry about it” as CRA had the incorrect amount for my RRSP carryover. I made numerous phone calls to Gateway and sent emails trying to find out what the problem was BUT no response.
Today is June 13/23 and I have spent 15 hours on the phone with CRA. After reviewing my tax info on the CRA website and comparing it to my files, I discovered that a $4000 RRSP contribution for 2021 was not submitted! Upon further investigation, I found that an $1800 RRSP contribution for 2013 was also not submitted!
These errors have negatively affected my GST credit and my Climate Action Incentive payment. I don’t know what is happening at Gateway but strongly advise people to find an actual Tax Accountant.

I went to this place for years and they drove me to find a new way to do my taxes. When they did my taxes they forgot one of my T4's (That I gave them) and I had a 5k bill to pay near Christmas months later. They didn't own up to it and the only compensation they were willing to pay was a half price coupon for the following tax year (No thanks)...I use Turbo Tax and pay around 1/4 of what they were charging me for my simple 2-3 T4's and donations. I would not recommend this place.
