This agency should be avoided at any cost if you want to rent your place. I hired them for renting my condo which is located in Toronto downtown. First of all there were so many miscommunication between my listing agent from Clairwood and tenant whom I approved and on top of it my listing agent never ever helped me resolving conflicts when tenant was about to enter my condo. I was left alone to deal with the situation after these guys received fees. Now after one year when tenant vacated the condo and asked me to return the key deposit then I reached out to Clairwood that I never received the key deposit from them and got below response from them.

"Good morning, XXXXX,

I have gone through the file for your unit XXXX Queens Wharf Road. You are correct. It states that there is a key deposit of $100. However, it is the Landlord who collects this from the Tenant. The Brokerage only collects the initial deposit for the rent, which is what we did. We have no further funds for your transaction. To clarify, on page 10 of the Standard lease in section H, it states that if the Landlord collects a deposit for keys etc.that this deposit is returned at the end of the lease. However, I assume that the deposit was not collected by you from the Tenant. "

It is so funny that Clairwood took all rent deposit from tenant but they neither took the key deposit nor they told me that it was my responsibility to take key deposit from tenant. Amazing to know that all 4 months advance deposit was taken by Clairwood but they wanted me to travel from US to Canada to take $100 key deposit from tenant.
I don't live in Canada and that was the reason hired this agency for renting my condo but this agency is not at all professional to even consider for hiring. I don't recommend this agency to anyone.
